Claire turned 2 years old on July 18th of 2009 and she is currently living with a foster family in southern Taiwan. We are waiting for permission to travel to Taiwan so we can bring her home and we anticipate this happening sometime between November 2009 and February of 2010.

With the massive cost of international adoption, we have stretched our finances to the limit. We greatly appreciate your help in bringing our daughter home to us. All donations from Bears for Claire will specifically be used to cover our travel costs to and from Taiwan which we are estimating could be as high as $10,000.

where does the money go?

Your donations will be used to help us complete the costs of our adoption of Claire. Primarily this money will be used to purchase plane tickets so we will be able to travel and bring her home later this year. Airfare (2 tickets there, 3 tickets home) could cost anywhere between $4000 and $10000.
